Swarthmore Fire and Protective Association

Welcome to the new Swarthmore Fire and Protective Association website. We are a group of volunteers who serve the community of Swarthmore Borough and the surrounding communities through our fire department and EMS, responding to over 500 emergency calls per year. The company began serving the borough in 1894 and was incorporated in 1908.

... that Swarthmore is quite possibly the only borough in the county to have a fire horn instead of an aerial siren as a way to notify its members of a fire call?

... that the Swarthmore fire company is one of the few to be referred to as a "Fire and Protective Association"? Concordville is one other company.
